The Plantahof is an office in the Department of Economics and Social Affairs and the competence center for agricultural education and advice in the Canton of Graubünden. In addition to the agricultural vocational school, the Plantahof offers various further courses, further education courses and conferences and is responsible for comprehensive advice and the provision of specialist knowledge for the benefit of Grisons and Glarner agricultural and Alpine farms and other circles involved in agricultural topics. For these purposes, he also runs his own experimental and estate operation at four different locations together with two farm shops. Finally, it has a conference centre with boarding school, lecture hall and a catering facility.

We are looking for 1. October 2026 or by appointment a milk technologist

Tasks

• Independent production of high-quality and innovative milk products for the conference centre, its own farm shops and other customers
• Production of a wide range of specialties from farm-owned cow, goat and sheep milk, together with a learning person
• Responsibility for consistently high product quality
• Introducing your own ideas for the further development of the range
• Where possible: participation in CVT courses

Requirements

• Completed training as dairy technologist or cheesemaker
• Professional experience in cheese and / or milk processing is beneficial
• Experience in handling different types of milk (cow, sheep, goat) is a plus
• Flair for new market trends and introducing innovative ideas for new products
• Strong hygiene awareness and good knowledge of food regulations
• Independent, solution-oriented and structured working method
• The common working language is German. Knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage.
