The Office for Imprisonment (AJV) Graubünden is a department of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. The AJV is responsible for the execution of penalties and measures as well as the implementation of the various types of detention. In Graubünden, the execution of penalties and measures is thus regulated as a uniform topic and holistic task, in which different professions work interdisciplinary with people who have become delinquent in order to prevent further delinquency.

The prison (JVA) Cazis Tignez employs about 110 people and has 150 detention places in the closed prison. Of these, 100 are in normal prison, ten are in the entrance department, 28 are in special prison and twelve are in custody.

We are looking for 1. November 2026 or by arrangement a workmaster for the residential groups admission and pre-trial detention as well as age & health

Tasks

• Operational and organisational responsibility of the assigned factories
• Guidance, supervision and guidance of the instructed persons in accordance with the principles of labour practice
• aptitude assessment; in particular cognitive, artisanal and creative skills
• Promotion of persons assigned to their professional and social development
• Planning and development of comprehensive employment programmes in the assigned factories as well as ensuring a needs-based, meaningful daily structure of the assigned persons
• Conducting individual interviews with instructed persons (activation, motivational work, etc.)
• Organization of the production process incl. Quality control
• Implementation and compliance with occupational safety
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with all areas of the JVA Cazis Tignez

Requirements

• Completed training as a work actor / work actor with federal law. Diploma
• Ideally, you will bring professional experience from a similar working environment
• Motivated to guide and mentor people in everyday life according to work-agogic principles as well as interested in evaluating potential in the artisanal/creative sector
• Balanced, team-capable, resilient and flexible personality with high social competence
• Enjoying teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Good oral and written expression in German as well as additional knowledge of cantonal and foreign languages are advantageous
• Driving licence Cat. B
• An impeccable reputation is required (no entries in the penal and enforcement register)
