The Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Mobility (DIEM) covers energy, hydropower, natural hazards, public transport, civil engineering, procurement, forestry, hunting, large-scale predators and fisheries. It is divided into five departments as well as the departmental secretariat, which, as the central staff body, provides comprehensive support for the departmental head in the technical and political leadership of the department.

The departmental secretariat provides its services in the new administrative centre "sinergia" immediately next to the Chur West station in a modern, open and digital working environment. It is also possible to work partially in the home office.

We are looking for a lawyer for the Departmental Secretariat of DIEM on 1 November 2026 or by agreement.

Tasks

• Legal supervision of the operations assigned to the department with a focus on forestry and protection against natural hazards
• Specific support for hunting, fishing and civil engineering
• Ensuring an orderly business process with the services assigned to legal support
• Drafting motions, decisions, contracts, reports and opinions and drafts of embassies, parliamentary initiatives and legal acts in the assigned areas
• Handling of complaints and drafting of legal documents for the courts

Requirements

• Higher education in law, additional training beneficial
• Practical experience in a public administration environment desirable
• Ability to take decisions on complex issues
• High self-motivation, initiative, resilience and teamwork
• Good communication skills
• A perfect command of the German language is required
• Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is advantageous
