Full description

The Office for Military and Civil Protection is the cantonal specialist for all aspects of military, civil protection and civil protection and implements the corresponding laws.

Civil Protection is one of the five partner organizations of civil protection (police, fire brigade, health care, technical companies, civil protection). In the canton of Graubünden, around 1,700 members of the civil protection are assigned to serve in the regional civil protection companies and various special formations.

The Office for Military and Civil Protection is looking for 01. November 2026 or by arrangement a civil protection instructor

Tasks

• Training and further education of persons liable for civil protection, in all subject areas from the level of crew to cadre
• Development of functional and didactic training documents
• Assistance and advice to the commanders and cadres of the Regional Civil Protection Companies in operations and training
• Operational management of civil protection in the event of occurrences
• Advising and supporting community leaders
• Personnel, technical and organisational management of a civil protection company or a special formation
• Participation in projects

Requirements

• Professional qualification with several years of professional experience
• Completed training as a civil protection instructor with federal law or willingness to complete it (duration 2 years and 8 months)
• High willingness to provide services and teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment
• Innovative, networked thinking personality with conceptual and communicative strengths
• Experienced organizational, planning and coordination skills
• High social skills, flexibility and resilience
• Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
• At least category B driving licence
