The civil engineering office is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of the cantonal roads as well as the hydraulic engineering and slow transport in Graubünden. We also take care of the operational maintenance of the national roads on the cantonal territory. The canton’s road infrastructure comprises over 1,450 art buildings, including bridges at airy heights of up to 90 meters and tunnels of up to 3 kilometers in length. The challenges that the nature of our mountain canton brings in summer and winter make our work challenging and versatile. We are looking for the road construction department as of 1. January 2027 or by agreement a project manager (sectional manager)

Tasks

• Responsibility for the assigned new construction, expansion and repair projects on the main road network throughout the canton
• Responsibility for professional, timely and cost-related project management as well as monitoring compliance with quality requirements
• Section construction management for projects on the main roads of the canton
• Independent management of challenging road and civil engineering projects in the phases of tendering and implementation
• Coordination between project planning and implementation
• Professional management of local works management
• Support of the Head of Section Construction Main Streets in the area of internal quality management

Requirements

• Civil engineer degree (level BSc, MSc), master builder or equivalent training
• Very good expertise and several years of experience in the execution of road and civil engineering projects
• Enforcement, communication skills and initiative
• Enjoying interdisciplinary teamwork
• Good IT user knowledge (deviation software, MS Office)
• General working language is German, knowledge in several cantonal languages is advantageous
