The Office for Imprisonment (AJV) Graubünden is a department of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. The AJV is responsible for the execution of penalties and measures as well as the implementation of the various types of detention. In Graubünden, the execution of penalties and measures is thus regulated as a uniform topic and holistic task, in which different professions work interdisciplinary with people who have become delinquent in order to prevent further delinquency.

The prison (JVA) Realta serves the open prison of men according to the Swiss Penal Code.

We are looking for a Dipl immediately or by agreement. Care professional HF

Tasks

• Care and counselling of hospitalised persons from different cultures in the health sector
• Organization and implementation of nursing measures taking into account legal, safety and operational requirements
• First clarifications in medical matters and emergencies as well as organization of medical visits and possible hospital admissions
• Order, control and preparation of medicines for delivery
• Provision and implementation of the heroin-assisted treatment and further substitution treatments
• Creating medical documentation and writing reports and journal entries
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with somatic and psychiatric specialists as well as internal bodies
• Performing day services between 06.30 – 18.30 as well as team rotating weekend services

Requirements

• Completed training as a nurse HF and several years of professional experience
• Additional training in emergency medicine, intensive care medicine or psychiatry is advantageous
• You see dealing with people from different cultures who are in difficult life situations as a positive challenge.
• Resilient, solid, team- and critical personality with high social skills, assertiveness and demarcation that keeps a cool head in delicate situations
• Good computer skills as well as good written and oral expression in German, additional knowledge of cantonal and foreign languages are advantageous
• An impeccable reputation (no entries in the criminal record and enforcement record)
