Canton of Zurich Education Directorate Uetikon am See Cantonal School / Rector 100% The cantonal school Uetikon am See (KUE) was founded in 2018. She leads a high school secondary school and currently five of the Zurich maturity profiles (old-language, mathematical-scientific, modern-language, economic-legal and philosophical-pedagogical-psychological). The number of students is currently around 800, that of teachers and members of the administration at 120. The location and form of the school are unique: The modern premises at the provisional location in the middle of the municipality enable future-oriented and innovative forms of teaching and inspire the “KUE spirit”. In about six years, KUE will move into its new premises on the site of the former Chemical Factory directly on Lake Zurich and will take another significant growth step. As a result of the imminent retirement of our Rector, we are looking for a successor as Rector at the beginning of the school year 2028/29.
- As Rector or Rector, you bear the overall responsibility for the educational, human, financial and administrative management of the school. They are headed by the school management, which is composed of the vice-rectors and the adjunct. Together you drive the expansion of the school and shape it with your innovative spirit. They are responsible for implementing the upcoming further development of the secondary school and for moving to the new location on Lake Zurich. You will continue the lively school culture in which both teachers and students can develop in the best possible way. They maintain daily contact with young people and take the lead of teachers and administrative staff.
- As a future Rector or Rector, you have relevant leadership experience and excellent leadership skills. You are with the Swiss high school system from own school management or Teaching is very familiar and knows the framework conditions and challenges of the Zurich education system. High-quality teaching is important to you, as is the integrative and respectful treatment of all stakeholders in the school. They are resilient, capable of teamwork, communicative, innovative and highly motivated to lead and shape the school of the future with passion and extraordinary commitment. Formal requirements are a completed university degree, the teaching diploma for maturity schools, several years of teaching experience as well as management experience at a cantonal school.
