Caritas Zurich is an independent Catholic aid organization. We work for families and disadvantaged people affected by poverty, regardless of nationality or worldview. In this way, we make a significant contribution to their social integration in the Canton of Zurich. The Communications department is responsible for Caritas Zurich’s appearance, fundraising and foundation work. Our organization is in exchange with numerous stakeholders and also manages the Communications Department on behalf of all Swiss-German regional organizations. Caritas network. The advertised position includes the management of the specialist office (60%) and communication activities for Caritas Zurich (20%). Their tasks For the communication department in the Caritas network (60%):
- Communication advice and support for the Swiss-German Conference of Regional Caritas Organisations and the individual regional offices
- Editorial director of the print magazine “Caritas regional”
- Member of the national content team website (caritas-regio.ch)
- Coordination of media and project requests in the Caritas network
- Overall project management Awareness campaign “One million stars” and other supraregional communication measures
- Responsibility Media Database Network: Production and management of image series
- Layouts of flyers, posters and other printed matter
- Budget responsibility, administrative and coordination tasks
Your main tasks for Caritas Zurich (20%)
- Internal communications consultancy for the specialist departments
- Cooperation with ongoing marketing and communication tasks
- Planning and Implementation Event “One Million Stars” in Zurich

- Sound training in communication or marketing as well as several years of professional experience
- Broad communication and marketing knowledge with experience in the design and implementation of measures across different channels
- Editorial strength and stylish German; good English and advantageous French skills
- Experience with common communication and creative tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud) is an advantage
- Independent and structured working methods and strong organisational talent
- High service orientation, empathy and a good sense of bringing people and interests together
- Own initiative, healthy pragmatism and persistence
