Put to the Point

Nitrogen, phosphorus and plant protection products should be used as efficiently as possible in agriculture. As a scientific expert, you will use literature research to develop an overview of the known agronomic measures for improving resource efficiency and prepare the findings relevant for Swiss agriculture in an understandable way. Together with the Research Area Sustainability Assessment and Agricultural Management (FB NBA), you will then analyse the implementation status of these measures in practice on the basis of surveys of consultancy centres, industry associations and agricultural enterprises. The findings from this project are intended to support a well-founded further development and targeted design of agricultural policy measures. As a scientific employee, you are responsible for the operational management, planning, implementation and evaluation of this project. We are looking for a bright and solution-oriented personality who likes to create well-founded decision-making bases in close coordination with various experts from research, consulting, practice and administration.

Questions about this listing

What salary does Agroscope offer for this role?

The original listing does not state a salary. Our estimate for this role and sector in Zürich is CHF 95'500 - 159'000 gross per year — an estimate, not a figure communicated by Agroscope. The calculator on this site converts a gross salary into your actual net take-home once cross-border tax and social contributions are applied.

Is this a full-time role, and what type of contract does Agroscope offer?

This listing is a part-time position. The contract type shown here comes directly from the employer's original posting; always confirm exact hours, notice period and probation length with Agroscope during the application process, since these details can vary by role even within the same contract category.

Do I need a cross-border work permit for a role in Zürich?

EU/EFTA citizens living in an EU/EFTA state can apply for a G permit and can work anywhere in Switzerland: border zones no longer apply to them, and they must return home at least once a week. The Swiss employer files the request with Canton Zürich's migration office after the contract is signed. Processing times vary by canton, so confirm the specifics with Zürich's cantonal migration office or with HR during the application.
