Mission

Join an international team dedicated to the development and delivery of hydroelectric projects in Europe.

As a Project Manager, you will contribute your technical, environmental and regulatory expertise during the project development phases and take responsibility for their delivery following the final investment decision (FID).

Main responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to development teams in the evaluation of hydropower projects across Europe.
  • Perform and coordinate the technical, environmental and regulatory due diligences required to support investment decisions.
  • Define, manage and challenge engineering, geological, environmental and permitting studies carried out by external consultants.
  • Establish and maintain project budgets, schedules and risk assessments.
  • Identify, assess and manage key technical, environmental, regulatory and delivery risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor permitting, grid connection and regulatory compliance processes in the relevant European countries.
  • Contribute to the identification and management of key stakeholders and anticipate risks that may impact project development and execution.
  • Participate in the preparation of tenders and the evaluation of proposals from consultants, engineering firms, suppliers and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate internal technical teams as well as external consultants and partners involved in project development and delivery.

Key requirements

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering from EPFL or an equivalent university qualification.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in technical development, engineering or delivery of hydropower or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of the technical, environmental and regulatory aspects of hydropower projects.
  • Experience managing studies, due diligences and external service providers.
  • Good knowledge of permitting processes, environmental requirements and regulatory frameworks applicable to infrastructure projects in Europe.
  • Understanding of key project delivery and contracting models for infrastructure projects, including engineering services agreements, EPC contracts and contractual risk management.
  • Experience in project management and coordination of multidisciplinary teams in an international environment.
  • Ability to structure complex analyses and formulate clear recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Excellent command of English and at least one additional European language (Italian, French or German).
