The Judicial Council advertises the judicial offices for the Grand Council (Art. 12 JG). The President is elected by the Grand Council on the opinion of the Judiciary Council.
- Lawyer's patent, license or master of rights. Sufficient practical knowledge for the performance of the office
• The tender is aimed at people with interest and experience in criminal and civil law
• Employment level 50% (with the prospect of increasing to 100%): The post shall be advertised at a rate of employment of 50 %. Subject to the approval of the 2027 budget, it is possible to increase the level of employment to 100%. Applicants who are interested in this possibility are asked to indicate this in their application
- Mastering the German language with good knowledge of the French language
- Voting rights in cantonal matters. Foreign nationals must hold a residence permit and have been resident in the canton for at least five years. There shall be no loss certificates against the persons. They must not have been convicted of acts incompatible with the judicial office
