- Our Linux team is the technical backbone for the digital services of the Zurich Kantonalbank.
- You run and develop the platform with us, where central applications, services and security solutions run – from classic Linux servers to containerized workloads on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- In an environment with growing importance of infrastructure-as-code, automation and cyber-security, you'll be helping to create a modern, highly automated infrastructure and platform landscape, and will bring your expertise to Linux, automation and software development. Your Tasks
- Responsible for the entire life cycle of our Linux-based server and platform infrastructure, from conception and construction to implementation, operation, optimization and continuous development
- Contributed to the design and construction of our new virtualization platform
Company and context
- Implement technical and organizational measures to reduce cyber risks in the infrastructure and platform environment
- Automate the entire server life cycle including provisioning, patching and decommissioning as well as developing reusable automation-Services and Internal APIs
- Operating and further developing our automation and orchestration tools (e.g. GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes/openShift)
- Design and implement APIs, CLI tools and service components to enable other teams to provide easy and secure self-service access to infrastructure
- Analyze and repair malfunctions and perform systematic root cause analyses including sustainable repair in the form of improvements in automation, hardening and interfaces
- Take over piket services in the context of infrastructure operation
- Completed training in computer science or equivalent qualification with focus on system technology, DevOps or Software-Engineering
- Long-term experience as DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or Platform Engineer, ideally in a Red Hat-based environment
- Safe handling of OpenShift or Kubernetes, as well as experience with Git, container technologies as well as CI/CD-Pipelins and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Well-founded knowledge in at least one programming language such as Python or Go and ability to develop maintenance code for tools, interfaces and automations
