Line S50 will be affected by a train change in Mendrisio. Passengers arriving in Mendrisio on line S50 will have to change trains and continue north on line S10, and vice versa in the opposite direction. This line change will take place from 1 April 2024, as established by the public transport regulations of the Canton of Ticino, with an expenditure of about 500,000 Swiss francs for the adaptation of the railway infrastructure.
The S90 line will be abolished between Lugano and Mendrisio in both directions. Travellers will be able to use the connections of the S10 line, which will be extended to Mendrisio. This change will be effective from 15 June 2024, as established by the public transport directive of the Canton of Ticino.
The RE80 line will be affected by a time change between Lugano and Chiasso. Alternatively, you can use the S10 line departing from Lugano at 12:36 pm towards Chiasso. From Chiasso to Locarno, passengers can use the S10 departing at 20.20 in place of the RE80 scheduled for 11.11.
The RE80 line with the Milano Centrale terminus (departure at 02.02 min) will run with a modified timetable between Lugano and Mendrisio.
