Canton of Zurich Education Directorate Office for Youth and Vocational Advice Scientific staff in the Financial Assistance staff 80% For life well – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Vocational Counselling (AJB) is responsible for the offers in the field of child and youth welfare as well as in vocational counselling. Our work focuses on children, young people and families. We work for them every day with a lot of heart and commitment. The Financial Assistance section of the AJB examines requests for financial support for people and for organizations that work for people – from scholarships and loans to alimony aid to grants for charitable projects and offers. As of 1 February 2027 or by agreement, we are looking for a forward-looking, self-responsible and conceptually strong personality for the Financial Aid Unit. Their tasks
- Participation in the Coordination Centre Subsidies, in particular examination of applications, processing of expenditure authorisations and payments and support for the further development of the Coordination Centre
- Development and implementation of projects for supply development and optimization of structures and processes in the area of financial assistance (departments and staff)
- Reporting preparation
- Media relations in the area of financial assistance and interface with INA (information agency) Your profile
- Master’s degree in Business Economics, Public Management, Law or Social Work; other disciplines with proven relevant professional experience are also welcome
- several years of professional experience, preferably in the cantonal environment
- Experience in implementing or managing projects
- Routine in the writing of spending permits and basic understanding of procurement processes in the public sector
- Independent, structured work and strong conceptual skills
- Excellent expressiveness and precise communication
- Joy in the design of change processes and perseverance in the pursuit of goals
