Are you interested in helping shape medical care for our residents and courageously leading our team of the Geriatric Service for Health Centers for Old Age into the future?

Tasks

• They assume medical responsibility for geriatric care in the health centers for old age and work in the direct treatment of residents in the context of visits. A patient-centered, interprofessional and interdisciplinary cooperation with nurses, social workers, therapists, MPA and other specialists is a matter of course.
• They take over the supervision, guidance and further training of (prospective) internists / geriatricians, promote professional competence in the team and thus contribute to the quality of medical care. In your function, you are the director of the continuing education institution.
• They further develop integrated supply structures within the urban context. On the one hand, you participate in the university geriatrics association, but you are also in regular exchange with family doctors and other stakeholders.
• They also actively network in urban, cantonal and Swiss-wide committees, contribute to the development of guidelines, research and political framework conditions and thus ensure the exchange of knowledge and practice between the actors.

Profile

• You have the title of specialist for general internal medicine with a focus on geriatrics
• You already have experience in a comparable position
• You are used to working structured
• You are a team player with an interest in interdisciplinary and interprofessional exchange for the benefit of your residents
• You have experience managing projects

The Health Centers for the Age of the City of Zurich is one of the largest geriatric institutions in Switzerland. We are the leading service provider in the age and care sector - with competence, heart and a comprehensive offer from a single source.

The Geriatric Service of the Health Centers for the Age of the City of Zurich comprises around 40 doctors. Together, we provide holistic care and treatment for residents in the various age medicine disciplines. Our offer includes a gerontopsychiatry incl. Consultation and Liaison Service, a Memory Clinic, a certified palliative care unit, geriatric and gerontopsychiatric long-term care units and a rehabilitative acute and transitional care unit. In addition, we offer a broad gerontopsychiatric offer.
