What awaits you. The “Development and renewal projects” business sector is responsible for all SBB Infrastructure construction projects relating to the development, modernization and renewal of SBB railway infrastructure. Every day, around 1,800 employees work to implement the requirements of more than 2,000 construction projects. The “Engineering” business unit brings together key skills in project management, procurement and contract and stakeholder management with expertise in the areas of railway, traction current, cables, railway access and technical installations (project study and execution) as well as geomatics, sustainability & environment and data management (competence center). The specialized “Geomatics” unit at “Engineering” addresses the priority themes of layout and measurement. It is responsible on the one hand for the compliant project study of all track and switchgear installations in compliance with financial requirements, and on the other hand for the acquisition, commissioning and support of measurement and monitoring services within the framework of the projects. In the field of Building Information Modeling (BIM), geomatics plays a central role in capturing data on the existing condition. The specialist unit is also responsible for updating and managing the classification system in the fixed installations database (DfA) (line network, track network, fixed points) as well as the quality of the track identification network.

• Within the “Engineering” business unit of Infrastructure, you manage the specialized “Geomatics” unit (around 50 employees). Together with your management team, you develop the specialist unit with a view to the future.
• Your main tasks include direct management and coaching of four team leaders and one expert at the locations in Renens, Olten, Zurich-Altstetten and Bellinzona.
• You guarantee the resources and skills of the specialized unit and you are responsible for the study and implementation of all development and renewal projects within the specialized “Geomatics” unit in complete safety, while respecting costs, deadlines and quality.
• You actively contribute to the efficient running of the project through digitalization, harmonization and standardization of collaboration with internal and external partners.
• You answer to the specialist department “Geomatics”, represent the interests of SBB and the specialist unit and are the contact person for internal and external stakeholders.
• As a member of the Engineering management team, you advise and provide support on strategy and design issues. You are also active in the sustainable, cultural and digital development of the entire business unit, both in terms of content and processes. What you bring.

• Your ability to quickly assimilate complex topics and your solution-oriented method allow you to quickly familiarize yourself with new thematic areas.
• You have good stakeholder management and you communicate convincingly, skillfully and on an equal basis at all hierarchical levels. With your pleasant attitude, you manage to convince even discordant voices.
• As an experienced executive, you inspire people and teams. You also have several years of experience in the construction and/or construction of railway infrastructure as well as in the management of complex projects.
• You have studied in a technical field. In addition, you have followed continuing education in the field of business economics.
• Your experiences in the field of geomatics complete your profile.
• You communicate with ease in German (C1). Good knowledge of French (level B2) is an asset.
