With around 2,400 employees, the Social Department of the City of Zurich works every day for a social Zurich. We are there for everyone and support children, young people and adults in different situations. We make an important contribution to social cohesion. And we contribute to a high quality of life in the neighbourhoods.
The Department of Social Protection and Prevention promotes the social integration and health of socially marginalized people with preventive, social and medical measures. The offer of the Meeting Points and Counselling Department is aimed at socially disintegrated adults living in the city of Zurich, who are often confronted with a mental illness and/or addictive addiction. The department is thus aimed at people, on the margins of society, who are also difficult to reach within the social assistance system. This marginalised and often underserved group of people is excluded and therefore faces considerable integration problems.
