The team of the Department of Students of the Zurich District School Authority is looking for reinforcement as of January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

Tasks

• They are responsible for the allocation of students and the class education and make reallocations when the students move.
• They handle all administrative matters and advise school management, authorities and parents on student issues and thus ensure student management.
• They write demanding correspondence and protocols from specialist groups and parent interviews and answer objections and recourses in writing.
• They track student numbers and report deviations to faculty leaders and school coordinators.
• They administer tasks in the area of day school e.g. requests for profile changes or extraordinary dismissals and manage the Microsoft Teams channels of the department.

Profile

• Commercial basic education with further education, ideally in the school system, or further education
• Some years of professional experience, preferably in the area of primary school as well as good knowledge of the school and care system of the city of Zurich of advantage, interest in school policy and pedagogical issues
• Very good IT skills and willingness to continuously train in this area as well as stylish, exact written and oral expression in German; good knowledge of English, every other foreign language is advantageous
• Great interest in managing data, creating lists and statistics and handling administrative tasks
• Independent and precise working methods, service orientation and high flexibility (large workload in the spring quarter, holidays preferably in school holidays)

About us

The Zurichberg School District comprises districts 1, 7 and 8 with the districts Altstadt, Fluntern, Hottingen, Hirslanden, Riesbach and Witikon. The district school authority manages 17 school houses. These include 44 kindergartens and over 40 care facilities of different sizes. Of the 13 organizational units, 9 are day schools.
