For our school-based childcare program, we are looking for a childcare specialist to start immediately or by agreement, on a fixed-term basis until 31 July 2027.

Responsibilities

As a childcare specialist, you will support kindergarten- and school-age children at Neubühl Day School during non-teaching hours. Together with the childcare team, you will help shape a varied after-school care routine and support the children in their personal and social development. You will work from Monday to Friday from 11:30 to 14:00, and on Wednesdays, as required, until 18:00. During the school holidays, you will have at least eight weeks of vacation.

Your responsibilities include

• Helping shape the daily childcare routine and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
• Supporting and encouraging children in their personal, social and emotional development
• Planning and conducting age-appropriate play, creative and leisure activities
• Respectful collaboration within the childcare team and with teachers and parents
• Participating in educational working groups and helping shape the further development of the day school
• Taking on organizational and domestic tasks as part of the after-school care routine

Profile

• Completed apprenticeship as a childcare specialist or specialist in early childhood education EFZ is mandatory. For applications with a foreign diploma, Swiss diploma recognition must be included.
• Enjoyment of and interest in supporting children
• Enjoyment of interacting with people from different cultures, as well as willingness to collaborate across disciplines within the school team
• Professional experience caring for children
• Solid German language skills
