The Waidberg school district comprises 17 school units with over 6400 students and around 1700 employees. The neighborhoods of Wipkingen, Höngg, Unterstrass and Oberstrass belong to this vibrant school district. Waidberg stands for contemporary pedagogy. Democracy and participation are overarching guiding principles of school development.

For our Riedhof-Pünten school, we are looking for a flexible and open-minded co-school leadership assistant as of January 1, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Administrative support for the school leadership: From coordinating appointments and taking minutes at meetings to organizing substitutes – you keep track and provide targeted relief.
• Communication hub: You are the first point of contact for teachers, parents, authorities and external partners – with a clear view, a friendly tone and the skill to triage inquiries and forward them to the appropriate recipients.
• Data and document management: You manage files, maintain student records and the parent communication platform – with care, digital know-how and an eye for data protection.
• Finances under control: You process expense reports, manage the global budget and ensure transparency and order in financial processes.
• Materials & logistics: From procuring materials to providing administrative tools (MS Office, SharePoint, internal systems) – you ensure that everything is available when needed.
• Culture carrier: You contribute to a pleasant, collegial atmosphere with your positive attitude and sense of humor – even in stressful moments.

Profile

• A completed commercial apprenticeship with several years of professional experience or an equivalent qualification.
• Very confident in using MS Office, SharePoint and digital administrative systems – you learn new tools quickly and use them with confidence.
• Excellent spoken and written German skills – clear, precise, empathetic.
• A high degree of flexibility, resilience and the ability to manage multiple tasks in an interconnected, prioritised and solution-oriented manner.
• Enjoyment of contact with children, learners, teachers, parents and authorities – you understand that each individual is part of a larger whole.
• A good pinch of humour that brings lightness even to hectic days – because we not only work hard, we also enjoy working together.

About us

The Riedhof-Pünten School is located on the green outskirts of Zürich. Our catchment area on the sunny slopes of Höngg extends from the Limmat to the Hönggerwald forest. In two school buildings and five kindergarten locations, we teach around 615 children. In the current school year, we have a total of seven kindergarten classes, eleven lower-primary classes and thirteen middle-primary classes. As a large school, we pay close attention to personal interactions between staff, schoolchildren and their parents. Our focus is on Education for Sustainable Development, support for gifted and talented students, and digitalisation. We see diversity as a resource and an opportunity for learning together.
