- Clinical practice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with extended medical responsibility:
- Responsibility for the coordination of the inpatient treatment: inside including visits, regulation of necessary examinations (e.g. radiology, consile, laboratory according to the applicable SOP and in consultation with the responsible cadre doctors), referrals for rehabilitation and to other hospitals
Main responsibilities
- Clinical practice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with extended medical responsibility:
- Responsibility for the coordination of the inpatient treatment: inside including visits, regulation of necessary examinations (e.g. radiology, consile, laboratory according to the applicable SOP and in consultation with the responsible cadre doctors), referrals for rehabilitation and to other hospitals
- Independent survey of the history and status as well as presentation of patients: inside on reports
- Coaching and instruction of patients (perioperative adherence, symptom management)
- Daily visit with independent physical examination and communication of the collected findings
- Creation and adaptation of regulations in the KISIM (new regulations are always carried out on behalf and review by specialists)
- Independent performance of simple surgical wound care (e.g. skin sutures, but not the independent performance of operations)
- Independent removal of abdominal and thoracic drapes after prior case discussion
- Teaching of new assistant doctors: women in the station tasks (including KISIM) Administration/Coordination:
- Communication with internal and external referrals (specialist doctors, hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, interface management)
