The “Expansion and Renewal Projects” division is responsible for all SBB infrastructure construction projects relating to the expansion, modernization and renewal of the SBB’s railway infrastructure. Around 1,800 employees work every day to implement the requirements in over 2,000 construction projects. The “Engineering” business unit combines the core competencies in project management, procurement and contract and stakeholder management with specialist expertise in roadways, traction current, cables, railway access and technical systems (project planning and execution) as well as geomatics, environment and sustainability and data management (competence center). The “Geomatics” department at “Engineering” is responsible for the main topics of routing and surveying. This involves, on the one hand, the compliant project planning of all track and switch systems, taking financial requirements into account, and, on the other hand, the procurement, commissioning and support of surveying and monitoring services as part of the projects. In the area of ​​Building Information Modeling (BIM), “geomatics” plays a central role in inventory data collection. The department is also responsible for tracking and managing the classification system in the “Database of Fixed Facilities (DfA)” (route network, track network, fixed points) as well as the quality of the track insurance network. • Within the infrastructure in the “Engineering” business unit, you head the “Geomatics” department (around 50 employees). Together with your management team, you will further develop the department in a future-oriented manner.
• Your main tasks include direct leadership and coaching of 4 team leaders and a subject matter expert at the locations in Renens, Olten, Zurich-Altstetten and Bellinzona.
• You ensure the performance of the department in terms of resources and competencies and are responsible for safe, cost-effective, timely and quality-oriented project planning and implementation of all expansion and renewal projects in the “Geomatics” department.
• Through digitization, harmonization and standardization of collaboration with internal and external partners, you make an active contribution to efficient project execution.
• You are in the lead regarding the “Geomatics” specialist management, represent the interests of SBB and the department and are the contact person for internal and external stakeholders.
• As a member of the “Engineering” management team, you will advise and support content and process-related strategic and conceptual issues, as well as the sustainable, cultural and digital development of the entire business unit. This is what you bring with you.

You also have several years of experience in construction and/or railway infrastructure construction as well as project management of complex projects.

• We require a degree in a technical field. You have also completed further training in the field of business administration.
