To support three children with special needs who are integrated into regular childcare, we are looking for an ISR childcare specialist at Betreuung Schauenberg 1 as of August 17, 2026.

Responsibilities

• You support three primary school children with special needs during school-based supplementary care (after-school program)
• With your pedagogical expertise, you accompany the ISR children in their social and academic learning
• You work 67% over 5 days per week.
• You are interested in interdisciplinary collaboration with the school staff and parents involved in providing support

Profile

• EFZ childcare specialist, certified early childhood educator (for applications with a foreign diploma / professional certificate, Swiss recognition of the diploma must be enclosed)
• Motivated, open-minded, resilient personality with a positive view of people
• Flexibility as well as excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Enjoyment of working with people from different cultures and willingness to collaborate across disciplines within the school team
• Professional experience in supplementary family childcare is an advantage

About us

We are a large school district in northern Zurich with 19 schools. We derive our educational approach from the concept of New Authority and, in this way, face the daily challenges of school life together and effectively.

The Schauenberg all-day school includes the lunchtime/evening after-school care centers Glaubten 1, Glaubten 2, Eigengrund, Lerchenhalde Primar, Lerchenhalde Kiga and Schauenberg 1. Around 30 kindergarten children are cared for every day at the Glaubten 1, Glaubten 2, Lerchenhalde and Eigengrund facilities; at Schauenberg 1, up to 260 children from first to sixth grade are cared for during lunchtime. The care facilities are open from Monday to Friday from 11.55 to 18.00, as well as during all school holidays in the City of Zurich.
