Institute of Veterinary Pathology
Job opening immediately
The Institute of Veterinary Pathology is an institution of the University of Zurich (UZH) and part of the Vetsuisse Faculty. In addition to research and teaching, the service (sections, histopathological, immunopathological and cytological examinations) on animals and tissue samples is a focus of the institute.
Tasks
- Editing, proofreading and writing (from dictation) of pathological examination reports
- Receiving calls and mail requests and providing professional information
- Case entry into our database and preparation of case distribution
- Preparation of accounts receivable
- Physical and electronic mail processing Sending expert opinions and reports to our clients as well as samples to other institutions
- Ordering of office supplies
- Maintenance of our database and the findings archive
Profile
- Education: (vet-)med. Practical assistant, secretary or equivalent training with professional experience and the best possible knowledge of medical terminology.
- Language skills: A stylish, very good German (especially in writing) is required
- Good oral and written knowledge of English and oral French is desired.
- Computer skills: Very good user knowledge of Windows Office products (Word/Excel) is absolutely necessary. Experience in working with databases is desired.
- Special requirements: You enjoy writing dictates and correcting and optimizing texts, act service-oriented, have an independent, exact working style, are reliable, flexible and resilient. They like to work in a team.
