Maintenance Specialist

HYDRO Operation SA is a leading service provider active mainly in the operation and maintenance of electrical production facilities. Under one roof, we bring together all the skills specific to our profession, from maintenance staff to engineering.

We operate a building stock comprising more than 40 hydropower plants with an installed capacity of about 22% of the Swiss hydropower stock (25% with pumping). Together, these developments produce nearly 16% of Swiss hydropower.

Thanks to our unique know-how, we offer high added value services that meet the varied needs of our customers, as well as the most demanding quality standards. Our service portfolio is targeted at electrical companies, public authorities, transportation companies and industries. We are mainly active in Switzerland and act on an ad hoc basis abroad.

Place of work : Nant de Drance plant, Le Châtelard\-Village, commune de Finhaut (VS)

Your mission

As a mechanic, a maintenance specialist, you contribute to the availability, reliability and safety of the mechanical equipment at the Nant de Drance power plant.

Your responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance work as well as work related to the rehabilitation and renewal of facilities
• Actively participate in hydro group interventions, including dismantling, winding, mechanical and electrical testing
• Propose technical improvements and participate in the implementation of improvement projects
• Collaborate with electrical, driving and engineering teams to optimize equipment availability and reliability
• Monitor and conduct facilities as operator according to established planning
• In time, provide a picket service (approximately 5 weeks per year)

Your skills

• CFCs, mechanic, mechanic or similar
• Experience confirmed in troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial mechanical equipment (hydropower, plus)
• Accountability
• Taste for teamwork and mobility
• Ability to control workload fluctuations
