We operate and maintain a plant park with more than 40 hydropower plants. Their installed capacity corresponds to approximately 22% of the capacity available in Switzerland from hydropower (25% with the pumping stations). Together, the plants we operate generate about 16% of the electricity from hydropower in Switzerland. *

Their mission
In the area of mechanics, you participate in study, maintenance and repair projects for hydropower plants and their technical facilities. You work in the fields of mechanical engineering and welding technology. In close cooperation with the other engineers and our workshops in Martigny, you will contribute your technical expertise to support specialized maintenance work and develop practical solutions for the requirements of the company.
Your tasks
- Technical support for maintenance managers in the various hydropower plants
- Development and implementation of technical solutions within the framework of large rehabilitation projects for hydropower plants in cooperation with the various technical units
- Budgeting of the work to be carried out, preparation of offers and technical support for distribution
- Managing projects in compliance with costs, deadlines and quality requirements
- Organization and coordination of missions of external suppliers as well as internal teams (securers, auditors) in close cooperation with the maintenance managers of the various locations
- Updating and maintaining the technical documentation of hydropower plants based on studies and final reports
- Implementation and accompaniment of production monitoring and component acceptance at suppliers and in our own workshops
- Participation in the coordination of welding work in our workshops in Martigny (DMOS/QMOS/QS) as well as at the operational sites
- Analysis and testing of suppliers’ technical documentation, in particular welding documentation
Your Competences
- Dipl. Engineer in ETH or FH in the field of mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
- IWE\- or IWT\ certification
- at least 5 years of professional experience in industry; at least 3 years of experience in hydropower are beneficial
- Experience in welding technology (creation of DMOS/WPS, verification of welding instructions, design of weldable designs, production control and performance of inspections)
- Knowledge and/or certification in the field of non-destructive testing (NDT), e.g. according to COFREND, are advantageous
- Strong organisational talent and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently, analytical thinking skills and strong competence to structure and summarize complex issues
- Good editorial skills in the field of technical documentation
- mother tongue French or German
- Good knowledge of the other language is an advantage
- Interest in working on site and willingness to travel regularly to our various hydropower plants (up to 30% of working time)
