Overview It is a very demanding but extremely rewarding job in which you take full responsibility for the catering service in the chalet where you work. The focus is on your ability to bring your impressive experience and creativity to design and implement a luxurious chalet catering service at the highest level. Main tasks
- Menu design and planning
- ordering food
- Purchase
- Building relationships with local suppliers: Procurement of regional ingredients
- Preparation and serving of breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés and daily up to eight-course evening menus
- Consideration of all special nutritional needs of guests, such as celiac disease, lactose intolerance and similar
- Fulfillment of all wishes on special occasions (e.g. preparation of birthday cakes according to the preferences of the guests)
- Food of children (including early meals, if necessary)
- Food hygiene and general health and safety regulations in the kitchen and dining rooms
- Thorough cleaning of the kitchen and catering facilities
- Assistance in managing the chalet’s food and beverage budgets
- Support for the maintenance of all kitchen equipment
- Food styling for publications and promotional purposes (in collaboration with the management team)

Required skills and experience This position is suitable for a person with the following qualifications:
- Recognized qualification in the catering sector or extensive experience in a luxurious environment (private household, yacht, ski chalet or villa)
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service
- Previous experience in (or inspiration from) Michelin Star or 5-Star Houses
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Liquid English
- German, French or Italian at conversational level beneficial, but not mandatory
