Role overview

• carry out technical-specialistic advice in horticulture and fruit growing

• guarantee the weekly collection and transmission of data concerning the cantonal production of vegetables and berries in close collaboration with the Swiss horticulture plant and the Swiss Fruit Association

• carrying out plant protection monitoring in collaboration with research centres as decision-making support for horticultural companies

• organize training and information moments, manage working groups and of interest and draw up informative texts

• implement fertilization plans, treatment plans, budgets, economic and agronomic relationships

• accompany projects aimed at finding solutions for the garden sector adapted to our climate and territory

• participate in meetings and collaborate at the cantonal and federal level with category associations and research to promote the cantonal orthogon sector

• university education (bachelor + master or bachelor) in agronomy or horticulture

• experience in providing agricultural advice, with skills in horticulture and plant health monitoring

• good knowledge of the cantonal territory
