Tasks

  • provide advice to families, third parties, entities, proposing direct intervention or directing towards external services, to ensure an answer to all requests
  • examine the needs of minors and their families to define the project of intervention
  • to provide social assistance, by activating, where appropriate, the resources necessary to ensure adequate support for minors and their families
  • carry out the socio-family evaluations required by the protection and judicial authorities, to deepen situations of potential risk or danger for minors
  • take protection warrants pursuant to Article 307 cpv.

3 of the CCS, to monitor uncomfortable situations, prevent the emergence of more important issues and provide support to families - to prepare, execute and verify the custody of minors with entrusting families and educational centers, to ensure their protection, examining the possibility of reconstructing the conditions of welcome of their families - to cooperate with the other sectors of the Office to offer coordinated and synergistic interventions

  • Requirements
  • bachelor SUP in social work or equivalent title, or, if combined with experience in individual social responsibility, university degree in related disciplines such as sociology, psychology, education science, pedagogy
  • proven experience gained in the protection of minors
  • availability, reliability, cooperative and welcoming attitude, communication and mediation skills
  • knowledge of services and authorities in Ticino
  • organizational capacity, work for objectives and networking
  • proficiency of the Italian language and good knowledge of a second official language; knowledge of the third official language is preferential title
  • practical knowledge of the main computer applications and preferably VIS
  • licence to conduct and availability to work outside office hours Special remarks
