Head of Logistics & Shipping (100%)

The position has the end-to-end responsibility of the activities of Logistics and Shipping, with the aim of guaranteeing an efficient and punctual service, further develop the organization and promote the continuous improvement of the processes.

The inserted person will guide the operational teams with a pragmatic and collaborative approach, enhancing the skills of people and accompanying organizational and process changes. It will be called to manage complex priorities, always keeping the focus on goals, service quality and operational efficiency.

Your main responsibilities

• Drive, coordinate and develop the Logistics and Shipping organization, ensuring effective management of operational teams.
• Ensure the correct performance of the goods, storage, internal handling, picking, order preparation and shipments.
• Ensure compliance with delivery times and service standards for internal customers and stakeholders.
• Manage the entire warehouse activity, including inventories, logistics management systems and SAP processes.
• Coordinate national and international transport and manage relations with logistic suppliers, carriers and 3PL partners.
• Monitor logistics KPIs and economic performance, managing budgets, operational costs and personnel productivity.
• Identifying and implementing Lean Management initiatives, continuous improvement and optimization of logistics flows.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchases, Customer Service and Sales to ensure an effective planning and fullfilment process.
• Conduct regular negotiations and meetings with suppliers and logistics partners.
• Support organizational change projects, digitization and process improvement through ERP systems, with particular focus on SAP.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environment and compliance regulations.
• Actively participate in operational activities and support the Stabilization Direction in strategic initiatives and projects.

Your profile

• Higher education in Management Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent discipline.
• Consolidated experience of at least 8-10 years in roles of responsibility in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain, preferably in structured production contexts.
• Experienced in team management and complex organizations.
• Solid knowledge of logistic processes, warehouse and distribution.
• Excellent knowledge of SAP, preferably SAP S/4HANA and LE, EWM and MM modules.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience in continuous improvement projects, change management, process management or project management.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and decision-making skills, combined with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach.
• Spiccate relational and leadership skills, with attitude to enhancing people and promoting collaboration.
• Excellent knowledge of the Italian and German language, both written and spoken.
