Bachelor Assistant in Master of Science training in the field of bioelectronics for the development of miniaturized Organ-on-Chip bioreactors The University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Italian Switzerland (SUPSI) is offering a position as Bachelor Assistant in Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) training with applications in the field of bioelectronics and system electronics for the development of miniaturized Organ-on-Chip bioreactors at the Institute of Digital Technologies for Personalized Health Care (MeDiTech) of the Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI) based in Lugano.
Entry into service 1 October 2026 or date to be agreed.
- Responsibilities and activities - Collaboration in research activities in the Medical Devices (DM) area of the MeDiTech Institute, with particular reference to the development of electronic systems applied to experimental devices and platforms in the biomedical field.
In particular, the candidate will contribute to
- development and integration of control electronics and data acquisition
- support for the design and implementation of monitoring and measurement systems
- integration between electronic subsystems, sensors and actuators
- development of firmware and communication interfaces for device management
- participation in functional tests and experimental laboratory activities
- support for the collection, analysis and management of experimental data
- Requirements To best fill this position, the following main requirements are required:
- Enrollment or intention to enroll in the MSE Master
- Bachelor's training in electronic engineering or similar discipline
- Good skills in analogue and digital electronics
- Basic knowledge in the development of embedded systems and data acquisition
- Familiarity with sensors, actuators and measurement systems
- Interest in biomedical applications and interdisciplinary systems
- Knowledge of the English language
- Good communication skills and aptitude for team work The following are preferential qualifications:
- experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems
- programming knowledge (C/C++, Python or equivalent)
- familiarity with programming tools electronic laboratory
- interest in control and automation systems
