Context and Mission

The Vice-President for Operations manages all the activities that make campuses live on a daily basis — restoration, information systems, security, operation, library and scientific information — and plans to develop its infrastructure for the future.

To support his leadership, the Vice-President for Operations is looking for his/her future Deputy and Head of the State-Major Unit (Chief of Staff).

Main responsibilities

  • Main tasks and responsibilities Your main responsibilities are:
  • Leadership and leadership of a transdisciplinary team: Lead the State-Major unit in human, technical, financial and organisational terms.

  • Strategic Impulse: Actively contribute to the strategic development of the Vice-President and initiate, lead and lead strategic or cross-cutting organizational projects.
  • Reflection partnership: Acting as a senior advisor to the Vice-President and to policy makers and managers, providing a fine analysis, a capacity to constructively challenge policy and a systemic vision that informs decision-making.
  • Institutional alignment: Prepare, structure and monitor strategic issues in cross-cutting connection with the Presidency, other Vice-Presidents, Faculties and Adjacent Areas, while ensuring the consistency of narrative and internal communication.
  • Performance and impact measurement: Develop and coordinate the implementation of performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of service delivery and the satisfaction of campus users. Profile
  • Training: Graduate university education (Master or equivalent) in Business Administration, Management or equivalent.
  • Experience: Strong proven experience (5 years minimum) in managing complex projects and piloting staff or management structures (Hermès, PMP or Prince certification or equivalent title is an asset). A first successful experience in team coaching is essential. Behavioural skills:
  • Political intelligence and cross-cutting leadership: Proven ability to navigate with ease between multiple stakeholders, to federate and negotiate.
  • Agility and stress resistance: High priority, flexibility and excellent organizational capacity to lead challenging files under pressure.
