- To ensure the coding of acute hospital and rehabilitation cases for all GHOL specialties according to the CIM and CHOP classifications, in accordance with the rules in force, ensuring that medical care is accurately reflected.
- Validate the final coding in Opale, by controlling the completeness of the folder, the consistency of the DRG obtained and the associated variables.
- Contribute to training - Maintain and develop skills through regular participation in continuing training.
- Diploma of higher education or equivalent in the medical, medical or medico-technical field, required (ideally nursing with specialization in operating unit).
Main responsibilities
- To ensure the coding of acute hospital and rehabilitation cases for all GHOL specialties according to the CIM and CHOP classifications, in accordance with the rules in force, ensuring that medical care is accurately reflected.
- Validate the final coding in Opale, by controlling the completeness of the folder, the consistency of the DRG obtained and the associated variables.
- Ensure the justification of the coding of cases followed with paying partners and in the framework of quality controls, by defending the best interests of the institution.
- Actively participate in coding loops (monthly, quarterly and annual).
- Ensure active monitoring and anticipate changes in coding catalogues.
- Work closely with physicians and health care teams to ensure comprehensive documentation and coding.
- To educate physicians and medical teams on the importance and impact of coding. Other activities
- Ensure completeness and quality of travel documentation to ensure accurate and consistent coding.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of coding tools and associated support.
- Propose and implement improvements to optimize medical documentation and coding processes.
