What we offer.

As part of the Career Starter program in civil engineering you have the opportunity to start your career in the rail world with a practical and modular path, performing two or three rotations of your choice. The first of these allows you, within five months, to acquire all the fundamental knowledge on the world of rails and civil engineering works in the rail field. During this program you will be part of a team consisting of several participants. During the months you will have the opportunity to go to different teams to know the various activities in the field of maintenance and construction of the tracks. • On your arrival at the SBB you will participate in different courses and workshops that will quickly give you a solid base of railway knowledge.
• Soon you will collaborate on projects and take on specific tasks in binary projects.
• Support experienced colleagues and colleagues and thus you will have the opportunity to contribute concretely to the progress of projects and learn from their experience.
• The work on projects in the binary sector is a specialized and exciting area in the field of construction and civil engineering. A complete introduction is guaranteed during training.
• At the end of the program, thanks to the gained overview, your network and the knowledge obtained, you will set the basis for your future professional development.

• You are particularly interested in the rail world and the mobility of the future and demonstrate a clear motivation to face new challenges.
• You have a great learning ability and you like to take responsibility to achieve ambitious goals.
• Your analytical skills, team spirit and positive attitude make you a valuable resource for the team.
• You have a technical university education (Bachelor/Master), preferably in civil engineering.
• The program is also aimed at people with superior training in geomatics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architecture or an equivalent title. The program takes place mainly in German Switzerland and in Romandia. For this reason you have a good knowledge of German (min. B2 at the time of entry). French knowledge is an advantage.
