The Department of Clinical Emergency Medicine (KNM) operates the central emergency department at the main site and the emergency department at the Walenstadt site of the Graubünden Canton Hospital (KSGR). Every year we treat well over 30,000 patients: inside. With the move to the new emergency center in November 2026, the offer of emergency medical care in emergency practice will be adapted to the growing demand. The practice, in addition to the offer of the emergency practice Chur AG (Primary Doctors:innen Churer Ärzteverein), will also be open during the day. The new premises of the emergency practice are centrally located in the emergency center, attached to the reception hall. The needs-based and efficient treatment processes are sustainably supported by a point of care laboratory, modern sonography technology and an independent practice X-ray system. In addition to the directly adjacent areas of the adult and child emergency, emergency practice is the third important pillar of emergency care and the area of clinical emergency medicine at KSGR.
These are your tasks
- Treatment of emergency practice patients during extended opening hours (currently no weekend and night services)
- Organizational-company management responsibility together with the MPA team management Emergency practice
- Senior medical supervision of the daily treatment team of the emergency practice
- Engagement in further education and teaching
- Interdisciplinary and interprofessional cooperation at the numerous interfaces of the KNM department
- Seat in the committees of the KNM department and participation in projects
You bring that with you
- Specialist title General Internal Medicine or Surgery with proven knowledge in the other specialist area
- Experience in family medicine desired and well-founded emergency medical skills
- Interdisciplinary focus title Clinical Emergency Medicine Welcome
- Sonography skills desired, ideally supervisor or tutor status
- Motivation to jointly develop the Department of Clinical Emergency Medicine at KSGR
- Interest in the further education of assistant doctors, further education empowerment and supervision experience of advantage
- Broad range of clinical interests as well as an integrative, loyal and team-oriented personality
