The mobile emergency team (EMU) was created in January 2025 after IMAD positioned itself by proposing its participation in the cantonal project "Geneva Emergency Network (RUG+)" (project to extend the emergency response to the canton) through the establishment of a mobile team to deal with non-vital emergencies.
Several public and private partners are involved in this project.
This nursing team is part of the Mobile Emergency Social Unit (UMUS).

- Evaluate the nature of the request from a professional at the Tri and Orientation plant attached to 144 and respond to it as soon as possible or direct the situation towards a more suitable service if necessary
Main responsibilities

- Intervene and carry out a joint assessment with his nurse by providing clinical expertise by appreciating quickly the somatic and psychological health of the beneficiary.
- Propose to the beneficiary ways to reduce the intensity of the emergency felt
- Take all necessary measures to ensure a stable general physical and psychological state and, if necessary, to coordinate the intervention of medical or paramedical partners.
- To carry out the written assessment of each intervention by giving an accurate account of the benefits offered and the solution(s) chosen by and for the beneficiary
- Coordinate and monitor situations within the Geneva health and social network
- Use available computer tools to monitor situations
- Assess the relevance of each intervention and participate in the quality process
- Participate in seminars and supervisions in teams, outside intervention times
