In the Freiburg prison (the institution) the prison facilities of the canton Freiburg are combined. It has the legal form of a public institution with its own legal personality. It is administratively assigned to the Security, Justice and Sports Directorate and is under the supervision of the State Council. The institution shall ensure the guarding, accommodation, care and treatment of the detainees in its custody and contribute to the implementation of the objectives of imprisonment and measures.

Their tasks

• Active and constant monitoring in and around buildings
• Maintain order and security
• Operating technical installations and alarm transmission equipment
• Take care of the last evening medication
• With the help of the service dog provide discipline, order and security
• Caring for detainees as needed

Desired profile

• FZ or training considered equivalent
• Several years of professional experience
• Swiss Federal Professional Card for Law Enforcement Officers of the Swiss Centre of Competence for the Implementation of Criminal Sanctions or Readiness to Complete Training
• Solid experience in the education and training of a service dog, beneficial
• Good physical and mental fitness as well as flexibility and stress resistance
• Sense of interpersonal relationships, communication and conflict management
• Willingness to use coercive measures
• Willingness to work on a regular basis (irregular working hours, also on Saturdays and Sundays)
• Empty extracts from enforcement and criminal records
• Good knowledge of computers (MS Office)
• Mastery of the German or French language with good knowledge of the other language
