The Cantonal Social Office (KSA), which is responsible in particular for the management, coordination and supervision of the Asylum and Refugee System (AsylG) in the Canton of Freiburg, is looking for 1. January 2027 or, by agreement, a scientific staff member 60-70 % for temporary employment until 31.12.2027 (renewable). Their tasks

• Participation in the coordination and development of the cantonal facility for the reception, care, integration and accommodation of persons from the asylum and refugee sector as well as its supervision
• Follow-up of tasks in the asylum and refugee sector, in cooperation with contractors and the relevant departments and offices
• Addressing complex situations that require a holistic and coordinated approach involving different actors
• Participation in the coordination of projects and the implementation of scientific work of the Office, in particular in the context of service contracts, consultations and the handling of parliamentary initiatives
• Cooperation in the further development of the Office’s scientific expertise on asylum and refugee matters

Desired profile

• Master in Social Work or Law or equivalent training with good knowledge of social assistance provisions and their application
• Knowledge of migration and integration
• Experience in the field of asylum is beneficial
• Dynamic and versatile personality with organizational and coordination talent, good knowledge of the legal basis, a flair for numbers, communication skills and good teamwork skills
• Safe handling of common computer programs
• Excellent command of the German or French language with very good knowledge of the other language, knowledge of English desired
