The EPAC – Ecole professional artisanale et commerciale bulle – offers lessons for learners from the commercial and craft sector of the region. It follows the dual education system, which enables young people to complete an apprenticeship in a company and at the same time attend classes at the vocational school. The commercial sector also includes classes of professional maturity, towards economic integration, both in the full-time and part-time model.

Their tasks

Its main task is to manage the EPAC in Bulle, which is subordinate to the Office for Vocational Education and Training. EPAC offers vocational training for over 1000 learners in the fields of trade, crafts, sales and pharmaceuticals.

• You are responsible for the management of around 110 employees
• Creating budgets and financial plans as well as financial management are also part of your responsibilities.
• Together with the management of ABB and other vocational schools of the canton, you will participate in strategic considerations and work and ensure their implementation.
• They represent the canton in national or intercantonal conferences.

Desired profile

• You have a master’s degree from a higher education institution with a teaching diploma for upper secondary education or a DAS in management or equivalent degrees and experience
• You are familiar with the Swiss education system, especially vocational training
• They have leadership experience and have demonstrated leadership
• You set priorities, recognize complex relationships and work across departments
• You are goal-oriented, take on responsibility and treat your employees with respect. You pay attention to the implementation of your decisions.
• They communicate openly, create a working environment characterised by trust and seek constructive solutions to conflicts
• Long-term personnel planning and careful recruitment are key concerns for you
• You lead, promote and challenge your employees in a targeted manner.
• You see change as opportunities and meet resistance constructively.
• They design effective processes, appropriate structures and shape the organizational culture through efficient quality management
• They identify future challenges at an early stage and work to address them in the spirit of ABB.
• They are French mother tongue and also have a good knowledge of German.
