Appointing authority / administrative unit / institution

The Peace Court is primarily the child and adult protection authority. It shall act on request or on its own initiative. Upon completion of the procedure, a decision shall be taken as to whether to impose a measure. The peacekeeper also has competences in inheritance law as well as in the area of judicial prohibitions of entry.

Their tasks

• Constitution of resolutions in civil law, in particular in the area of adult and child protection law in French and German
• Participation in meetings of the Adult and Child Protection Authority and minutes at court hearings
• Management of the court clerk: contacts with the persons concerned and the persons close to them as well as with branch offices, in particular for the legal assistance of advisers and third parties
• Telephone and general information
• Legal investigations
• Management of court records and constitution of general correspondence

Desired profile

• Completed law degree (licence or master)
• Several years of professional experience, preferably as a court clerk
• Excellent knowledge of law, independence, resilience and teamwork
• Communication and organizational ability as well as pleasant manners
• Excellent IT knowledge
• Mastering French or German with very good oral and written knowledge of the other language
