Appointing authority / department / institution

The Freiburg Penitentiary brings together the correctional facilities of the canton of Friborg. It has the legal form of a public institution with its own legal personality. It is administratively assigned to the Security, Justice and Sports Directorate and is under the overall supervision of the State Council. The institution ensures the guarding, accommodation, care and treatment of prisoners in its custody and contributes to the implementation of the goals for the execution of prison sentences and measures.

Your tasks

• Technical and personnel management of the workshops and buildings department as a member of the management of a large administrative unit
• Management and coordination of the workshops, craftsmen, kitchen sections as well as the planning and property management service
• Planning, coordination and support of FRSA construction, conversion, maintenance and infrastructure development projects
• Strategic and operational management of FRSA's real estate portfolio, particularly in the areas of planning, maintenance, development and financial management
• Management and further development of professional activities for incarcerated people with the aim of rehabilitation and professional reintegration, in accordance with the prison plan
• Development, planning and coordination of strategies, concepts, guidelines and projects in the areas of workshops and buildings

Desired profile

• Tertiary training level in the field of construction or project management
• Further training in the field of construction and/or project management
• Federal diploma as an expert in management in deprivation of liberty from the SKJV is an advantage
• Several years of management experience
• Experience in leadership, project management and strategy development
• Professional IT knowledge
• Very good organizational and analytical skills, strategic thinking and decision-making ability
• Independent, committed and pragmatic personality with high adaptability and resilience
• Ability to collaborate in networks, strong communication and talent to motivate and bring teams together
• Very good knowledge of French and good knowledge of German
