The cantonal institution of social insurance (ECAS) is an autonomous institution governed by public law which administers and coordinates the activities of the Caisse de compensation du canton de Fribourg, those of the cantonal office of disability insurance and the central services.
It thus constitutes a single competence centre in social insurance under the first pillar for insured persons and enterprises in the canton of Fribourg.

- Within the "Management / Case Management" section of the Cantonal Office for Disability Insurance:
- Instructs and manages independently applications for AI benefits for adult insured persons over 25 years of age, from receipt of the file to decision, ensuring quality of education, compliance with deadlines and the application of the legal framework, directives and procedures in force
- Analyze in a comprehensive way the situations of insured persons (medical, professional, social and personal) and identify the issues, resources and obstacles related to earning capacity
- Conduct and monitor cases using a case management approach, anticipating developments and adapting the management strategy
- Coordinate the interventions of the various internal and external partners and foster effective interdisciplinary collaboration
- Maintain a high-quality professional relationship with insured persons, with listening, empathy and clarity in communication throughout the process
