Who are we?

The Friburg detention facility brings together the prison structures of the canton of Fribourg. It has a public law status and legal personality. It is administratively attached to the Directorate of Security, Justice and Sport, under the high supervision of the Council of State. The institution shall ensure the custody, accommodation, care and treatment of prisoners entrusted to it and shall contribute to the achievement of the objectives assigned to the execution of custodial sentences and measures.

Your missions

• Ensure active and constant monitoring inside and around buildings
• Maintain order and security
• Use technical installations and means of alarm transmission
• Ensure the last night medication
• Respect discipline, order and safety with the service dog
• Provide guidance to detainees when necessary

Profile desired

• SWC or equivalent training
• Several years of professional experience
• Federal Patent of Detention Officer of the Swiss Centre of Competence in Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions, or Be Ready to Attend Training
• Strong experience in education and training of a service dog, an asset
• Good physical and mental condition as well as flexibility and stress resistance
• Meaning of human relations, communication and conflict management
• Be prepared to apply coercive measures
• Arrange to work in turns (irregular working hours including Saturday and Sunday)
• Excerpts from prosecutions and blank criminal records
• Good knowledge of IT tools (MS Office)
• Mastery of the French or German language with good knowledge of the other language
