Who are we?

The Museum of Art and History (MAHF) is made up of three parts: the Ratzé hotel, the former slaughterhouse, the building intended for temporary exhibitions as well as a garden serving as a setting for monumental sculptures.

The Espace Jean Tinguely - Niki de Saint Phalle (Espace JTNSP) is a magical place that pays tribute to the creativity of two great artists of the twentieth century.

The works brought together in the two institutions document the cultural history of the canton. With the permanent presentation of the collection and the temporary exhibitions, they offer keys to understanding the past and present, while raising public awareness of the creation of Fribourg artists. Numerous public events take place throughout the year.

Specificity

Type of contract: 20% on a permanent contract and 20% on a fixed-term contract, renewable from year to year

Your missions

• Inventory of new MAHF entries in a database
• Creation of documentation of works and artists
• Research around temporary and permanent exhibitions
• Collaboration during acquisitions or donations
• Support for external researchers

Desired profile

• Completed studies in the fields of art history or history (Master)
• Museum experience as well as in the management of databases
• Practical work sense and efficiency
• Writing skills
• Fluency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language
