UniBE is on the pulse of the times.With us you make a contribution to solving important social tasks. Tasks: • Perform daily animal husbandry in mice in isolator and isocage systems (ABSL1 and ABSL2) • Regular health inspection and assessment of animals in accordance with applicable directives • Mating, breeding and care of associated mouse lines • Supply of insulators with sterile material and carrying out sterile imports and transfers • Professional and sterile export of animals from insulators for scientific reuse • Documentation and data collection in the field of animal husbandry, hygiene and equipment • Support for embryo transfer processes • Sampling according to applicable guidelines (e.g. microbiological control samples and genetic analyses) • Cleaning, disinfection and preparation work to ensure hygiene status (cages, bottles, connectors, equipment, laboratory utensils and equipment) • Collaboration and exchange with scientists Requirements • Completed training as an ECZ (specialist of experimental animals) or equivalent qualification • Experience in the care and care of experimental animals and in practical animal husbandry • Experience in axenic or gnotobiotic animal husbandry is advantageous, but not a prerequisite – careful training is guaranteed • Careful, structured and reliable working methods, even for routine work • High sense of responsibility and enjoyment of precise work under strict hygiene and safety requirements • eamfähigkeit, self-initiative and resilience in daily operations • Readiness to work in the ABSL-2 area • Oral English skills required for exchange in a scientific environment We offer: Plannable weekend service with corresponding time compensation according to cantonal guidelines
