Their tasks
- You play a central role in the professional support and further development of our billing processes and work closely with the responsible process organization.
- They set up business partnering with invoicing companies, advise institutes and faculties and accompany them in process questions.
- They analyze, model and standardize consistent billing processes, identify media breaks and participate in other financial processes.
- They analyse business requirements, develop solution concepts and coordinate technical process changes with the affected bodies and the SAP system operator.
- They are responsible for training and process documents for billing and participate in functional and system tests.
- They coordinate the development and further development of knowledge management for the finance department.
- They work on SAP stage 2 (Extended) as well as on the preparation and implementation of an archive solution for the previous financial system and take over (sub)project management if necessary.
- Depending on requirements, you can also support cross-divisional tasks in master data management (SDM) and application and operational support (ABS).
Requirements
- Completed university degree (bachelor or master) in business administration or business informatics
- Experience in the analysis, modeling and optimization of financial business processes as well as in business analysis
- interest in financial processes and ERP systems; SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Experience in project work as well as security in moderation and presentation
- Analytical, structured and independent working methods, strong communication and organisational ability
- High service and quality orientation as well as openness to change and new tasks

Financial Systems (SYS) We supervise and develop the financial systems of the University of Bern. Our Application and Operational Support (ABS) supports the users and coordinates the support with the system operator. Master data management (SDM) ensures data quality, while business process management (GPM) designs and optimizes invoicing processes in particular. Our staff performs administrative and organizational tasks. For the purpose With the introduction of SAP as of 1. January 2027 begins a new phase for the financial processes of the University of Bern. In this two-year function, you will strengthen business process management with a focus on invoicing. Our billing companies cover different areas, from student services to the medical environment with its complex tariff systems, legal requirements and demanding billing processes.
