Role overview
Our Group Technology Services division provides IT services for numerous companies in the Migros Group.
As a Network Engineer (f/m/d), you will help to design, operate and strategically develop our networks in the data centers including backbone, partner connections and cloud integrations in one of the largest IP networks in Switzerland.

- As a Network Engineer (f/m/d), you will help to design, operate and strategically develop our networks in the data centers including backbone, partner connections and cloud integrations in one of the largest IP networks in Switzerland.
- Design and further development of our data center networks based on Cisco ACI and other leading technologies
- Responsibility for the architecture and optimization of our MPLS backbone as well as its further development in terms of scalability and performance
- At least 5 years of experience: in the architecture and operation of complex network infrastructures with a focus on Cisco ACI, MPLS, BGP and cloud connections as well as in-depth experience in project management, e.g. strategic further development of network infrastructures
- Completed vocational apprenticeship (EFZ): in computer science including manufacturer certificates, corresponding further training HF/FH/University an advantage
Main responsibilities
- Design and further development of our data center networks based on Cisco ACI and other leading technologies
- Responsibility for the architecture and optimization of our MPLS backbone as well as its further development in terms of scalability and performance
- Design and optimization of the Internet and cloud connections as well as ensuring stability and security
- Troubleshooting and operation of complex network structures with a focus on BGP, MPLS and Cisco ACI
- Coordination and control of external partners and service providers in defined subject areas
- Training and support of network employees Operation Centers (NOC) as well as maintenance and further development of technical documentation in Confluence
Key requirements
- At least 5 years of experience: in the architecture and operation of complex network infrastructures with a focus on Cisco ACI, MPLS, BGP and cloud connections as well as in-depth experience in project management, e.g. strategic further development of network infrastructures
- Completed vocational apprenticeship (EFZ): in computer science including manufacturer certificates, corresponding further training HF/FH/University an advantage
- Manufacturer certificates at level CCNP/CCIE
- Sound knowledge of troubleshooting and optimizing large networks
- Willingness for on-call duty (approx. 10 assignments per year) as well as occasional night and weekend assignments
