The Biel Hospital Center is the public center hospital of the bilingual Biel-Seeland-Berne Jura region. Are you interested in working alongside our 2,300 employees for the health of our population?
Designing modern age medicine in a team In our clinic for geriatrics, we combine medical expertise with holistic, patient-centered care. At the same time, we attach great importance to an open, collegial working culture with short decision-making paths and real cooperation at eye level. Our clinic includes an acute geriatric bed station, a memory clinic and mobile geriatrics with care of a retirement and nursing home. As a recognized further education institution of category A geriatrics and category C internal medicine, we offer a technically challenging environment with a wide range of development opportunities. Our multidisciplinary, bilingual team is led by two geriatricians in modern co-direction. Doctors work closely with specialists from nursing, therapy, speech therapy, nutrition and social counselling – characterized by mutual appreciation and team spirit. To complement our team, we are looking for a dedicated senior physician.

You do
- Medical care for our patients at acute geriatrics
- Application of geriatric treatment processes with professional support of geriatricians
- Planning and management of multidisciplinary site discussions
- Cooperation in the in-house consultancy service of the geriatrics
- Care and further training of assistant doctors
- Participation in weekend service in the bed station (no emergency services)
This sets you apart
- Specialist / specialist FMH Internal Medicine or shortly before graduation
- interest in age medicine; a focus on geriatrics is advantageous, but not a requirement
- Enjoying interdisciplinary cooperation and exchange in a team
- Motivation to actively participate in education and training
- German or French mother tongue with good knowledge of the other language
