Center for Psychiatry and Inpatient Psychotherapy (ZPPS)
For our acute care unit with a focus on affective disorders, we are looking for you as of 1 February 2026 or by agreement The Psychiatric Services Aargau AG (PDAG) is responsible for the high-quality medical, therapeutic and nursing treatment and care of mentally ill people in the Canton of Aargau. Over the area
The Center for Psychiatry and Inpatient Psychotherapy is part of the Clinic for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at PDAG (Clinic Director Prof. Dr. med. Marc Walter). It is responsible for the modern acute psychiatric treatment of people between 18 and 64 years of age, which includes biological, psychotherapeutic and socio-medical applications and is based on open-door and no-restraint concepts. The center is dual by Dr. med. Maxim Zavorotnyy and Petra Meyer, Head of Care, and includes five stations. There is a close network for interventional psychiatry. For doctors, the centre is a SIWF-approved training centre for psychiatry and psychotherapy category A inpatient (3 years) and for interventional psychiatry (rTMS and EKT).
Tasks
- You take over the case management and work closely with the interdisciplinary team
- In addition to acute care, you carry out psychotherapeutic treatments in the individual setting
- You lead psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational group therapies
- They hold family and location discussions and are in exchange with external specialists and institutions.
- You create the necessary treatment documentation and technical reports
- They are integrated into the service concept of the clinic
Profile
- Completed psychology degree (master or equivalent) and already started or advanced psychotherapy training
- Mind. 1 year of clinical experience
- Interest in therapeutic work with people with affective diseases as well as prolonged affective crises in personality disorders and acute trauma follow-up disorders
- Experience in acute care and affective disorders are beneficial
- Engaged, flexible and resilient personality
- Good communication skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary and networked work
- Safety in dealing with common office applications and knowledge in the use of electronic medical histories
