Your Responsibilities
- You participate to the development and testing of Diesel and Gas engines and undertake the tasks requested to validate engine components using engines in the test benches
- You work closely and support a test engineer and act as the interface between the test engineer and workshop for the engine assembly and disassembly.
You also create engine assembly requests for all development engines, including dataset, metrology and instrumentation requests
- You ensure that tasks defined and requested during engine assembly and disassembly are correctly performed and you create reports accordingly
- You request the needed measurement devices and you use some such as borescope, wrench to measure tightening and residual torque
- You are accountable for the engine bill of material and corresponding parts running time, during all engine life
- You create test program and follow testing activities on test benches and analyse the measurements and write up the associated report
- You describe mechanical failures that might occur during the testing activities, and you give support for the resolution.
- You are involved in logistic activities to move, store, send or scrap parts
- You actively participate to the continuous improvement of processes such as workflows, test procedures, assembly and disassembly procedures Your Profile
- You hold a mechanical training in heavy duty engines, a technician training, or similar
- You bring relevant experience in engine development and experience with combustion engines.
A workshop and/or Test Bench experience is a plus
- You have knowledge on measuring technology and testing
- You have advanced knowledge on post-processing and ERP programs
